We are about to enter another chapter as a church family and it starts this weekend (07/25). Today!
Tonight at Legacy Church! In-Person Live Outdoor Worship 6:30 pm Location: Tierrasanta campus Online Services Continue Sundays at 9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
Why Saturday evening and not Sunday morning? Basically, we’re moving into the heat of summer. The asphalt parking lot would be scorching on most Sunday mornings. Remember our attempts the past couple years on Tierrasanta’s Upper Lawn? We couldn’t set up enough tents and pop-ups! We anticipate using this format thru most of October.
Is there shade on the lower lot? Yes! At 6:30 p.m. about 85% of the lower lot is in the shade. Beautiful evenings in Tierrasanta! But . . . evenings get cool quickly. You might want to bring a sweatshirt, too.
What should I expect, if I choose to attend? First of all, your attendance is at your discretion. We’ll continue to play it COVID-safe as prescribed for outdoor gatherings. We’ll take your temperature quickly when you arrive. We’ll all wear masks from our cars to our seats. Social distancing will be practiced and expected. You may remove your face coverings when you are in your seats.
Will we be able to sing? Yes. That’s one of the advantages of an outdoor service, as long as you practice social distancing.
What will the service look like? Music, worship, message, testimony, prayer, even communion and baptism at certain times!
What about children? We won’t have children separated or mixed. But there will be opportunities for families to sit together with activities or materials for the kids. Middle School and High School will still have the opportunity to sit together (distanced) as they participate in the service.
Is there anything else I should know? Restrooms will be available in the building lobby. Offering baskets will not be passed, but available as needed. Hand sanitizers will be available, and use is encouraged.
Parking? Use the lower lot, the street, or the upper lot. Hosts will be present to assist you.
For those of you who continue sheltering at home or are not ready to worship with others at this time, we truly understand. Please continue to use Sunday Mornings Online at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. as your means of gathering with Legacy Church! Same message, slightly different format. We are so convinced about the effectiveness of online worship, we anticipate it will continue well into the foreseeable future! But we need both!

Celebrate Recovery will re-open outdoors at the Tierrasanta campus on Wednesday evenings starting August 12 @ 7:00 p.m. Note the change in location! No meetings in La Mesa until further notice.
