Mother's Day Weekend at Legacy
Hello Legacy Family
I really hope you’re ready to get dialed in again tomorrow morning for another online church experience with your Legacy staff and friends. Some of you are in “watch parties” with other people watching and interacting. Others just checking us out through one of the social media platforms like You Tube, Instagram, or Facebook. Whatever your format – your online experience at Legacy is intended to connect you to more people and more events with your church family. Remember: Sunday mornings at 9:00 & 10:30 a.m.
So let’s get started – I have FOUR (4) matters I want to bring to your attention before Sunday morning.
A Celebration of Women. Yup. THIS Sunday, May 10th!! But we want to include something extra special on that day –
A Celebration of Women "Sunday Drive" Car Parade at each campus from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. only. Go for a “Sunday Drive” and show up at one of Legacy’s 2 campuses. If you attend Tierrasanta, drive into the lower lot and we’ll take care of the rest. If you attend La Mesa, join us in the church office parking lot. Either location, we’ll have a lot of fun surprises, give-aways, photo moment, and even a free raffle option. You DON’T even need to get out of your car! Oh, and the best part? You get to see, wave, and HONK at a bunch of other people from the Legacy family (a bunch you already know!), including our staff members and pastors.
La Mesa Springs site. It’s full construction mode now. There’s a new onsite mobile office and green fencing everywhere – it LOOKS like a construction site!! The workers are currently framing out the entire upstairs mezzanine for offices and meeting space. Looking great! And we just passed all plumbing/sewer inspections. But still many months to go! Keep praying and stop by if you’re curious.
Tierrasanta congregation. As you might know, long-time missionary, Sondra Pepper, is soon moving to Michigan and retiring from the active mission field. It’s a little more difficult right now, but we’d really like to have a “Celebration of Mission & Ministry” ZOOM PARTY with Sondra present in the picture. So if you’d like to be involved in planning this event and/or throwing your support behind it (as part of a Love Offering), please contact the event planner, Pastor Troy Norling, directly for information and for getting involved. Date is yet to be determined – but SOON! Call Troy (623-810-7274). Email Troy: email@example.com
Adventure Days Preschool opened on a limited basis this past week. As a result, we received an official “Thank You” letter from the SD County Sheriff’s office for our support of frontline, essential workers and their families. We’re grateful for our new director, Jill Giles, and preschool staff who will continue to incrementally re-open our preschool to full capacity over the next weeks and months. And right now, Adventure Days is accepting registrations for the Summer and Fall Sessions. In spite of the confusion and chaos of these present days across our world, there are so many indicators of God-at-work! Don’t miss what the Lord is doing. His Kingdom is strong and His Church is growing! Have a great weekend! Pastor Curt
